This exquisite piece depicts a young girl spinning wool, holding a bundle in her hands. The figurine belongs to the early series of Royal Dux, as indicated by the engraved number 466, a hallmark of exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. Unlike later mass-produced works, these early Royal Dux figurines were meticulously sculpted, with remarkable precision in the face, clothing, and even the fingernails. The figurine is beautifully crafted, with an exquisitely detailed face and jewellery, representing the outstanding artistry of Royal Dux sculptors from the 19th century.
The figurine bears the distinctive pink triangular Royal Dux mark, used during this period to signify authenticity.
