Until a couple of days ago I hadn''t heard of William Hall. However the ever excellent resource that is the Furniture History Society and its online version (BIFMO) have an enlightening article detailing his work for Collinson & Lock, Kenton & Co., Voysey and Ernest Gimson. Recorded examples include a macassar ebony writing table made by Hall for Kenton & Co. held in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
