A fantastic 19th century oil on canvas depicting a cobbler.
The cobbler is seated at his table with shoe and hammer in hand, a bird cage above, tools upon the table and a basket of shoes beneath it. The attention to detail throughout is exceptional with feature considered and carefully depicted.
The work is housed in a period gilt frame.
Some losses to the frame but otherwise the whole is in a very good condition and ready to hand.
