Art Deco 0.65 Carat Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1935

Description

An absolutely charming vintage diamond engagement ring. The bright and internally clean old European cut diamond is secured in an eight claw platinum collet with an open galley and above a scalloped back-plate - a typically French design with allowed maximum light to pass through - and back into - the diamonds. The spear-shaped shoulders are each set with a small eight-cut diamonds, leading to a slender platinum shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR.

Cut:? Old European cut in the centre (eight cuts in the centre).

Colour:? H in the centre (J to K in the shoulders).

Clarity:? VS2 in the centre (I1 in the shoulders).

Carat:? The centre is approximately 0.65 carat, with a further approximate 0.06 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:? 1935.

Size:? L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:? The diamond is approximately 5.6mm in diameter and sits 5.3mm from the finger.
