A pretty little 19th-century mourning brooch with a glazed centrepiece of neatly braided hair framed in polished coral cabochons.

SIZE: 1.6 x 2.2cm.

WEIGHT: 3.6g.

MATERIALS: Coral, nine-carat gold cased.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None.

CONDITION: In very good antique condition, the gold casing has worn a little at the edges in places.

ERA: Georgian (c.1714-1837).
