Top quality, Mid/Late 19th century, French bronze figure of a seated Hare, ears erect, ’Lievre Assis’ by Antoine Louis Barye (1795 - 1875), cast by Ferdinand Barbedienne, on black marble base.
Marked to base ‘ Barye’ and ‘F Barbedienne’ (font ancienne).

Excellent condition, minor age related wear. two small holes to front edge of base indicate missing plaque.
