This is a large antique gentleman's tallboy. An English, walnut chest of drawers, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

Striking example with beautiful figuring and fascinating cot drawer

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout

Superb figuring to the select walnut stocks, bookmatched to the fascia

Exceptional colour, with warm caramel hues beneath a wax polish finish

Classic arrangement of two short over three long drawers with graduated heights

Each drawer dressed with brass drop handles on pierced backplates
