Sterling Silver Cigarette Case with Green Sunburst Enamel Guilloche - Joseph Gloster 1933

We are delighted to offer this stunning sunburst green enamel and sterling silver cigarette case, made by Joseph Gloster in Birmingham 1933.

With practicality, elegance and style combined in one, this cigarette case is the perfect accoutrement for any tobacciana collections or collectors of enamelware.

The top lid features a wonderful green guilloche enamel with a fine starburst/ray pattern.

The interior is silver gilt which provides a layer of protection from the contents inside oxidising/tarnishing the silver.

The push button clasp still functions very well with an audible 'snap' upon closure, keeping all contents held within safely.

Whilst originally designed for holding cigarettes, this case could also be used for short-form cigars, holding matches or small items. A perfect gift or addition for the discerning individual and an equally delightful conversation starter.

A full set of English hallmarks are present on the interior of both sides.

Condition

Good Condition - The cigarette case is in good vintage condition with no major damage or issues. For accuracy: there are some scratches/marks/gilding loss on the interior, however, no chips or losses. Otherwise, in good order and wear commensurate with age.
