Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
With a lattice basket rim, finished with scrolled handles to each end. The dish sweeping inward and downward, to meet the concave profile spreading foot. The dish decorated with rural scenes, within reserves, depicting variously, a couple conversing on the lawns of a grand house, a couple chatting by a fence, a mother and child walking home to their cottage, and a couple talking as they gather corn in a field with sheep, before a ruined folly.
