Victorian Silver Cornucopia Ruby Glass Scent Bottle, Circa 1870

Description

This exquisite Victorian silver scent bottle has an embossed hinged silver lid mounted on a stunning ruby cut glass cornucopia-shaped body. It is exquisitely sliced-cut and looks distinctive and very elegant. Fitted with a silver chain. Fitted with a clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

The silver lid is unmarked, which is quite usual with scent bottles, but tested as silver.

Condition:

Excellent.

Silver lid in excellent condition, crisp decorations.

Glass in perfect condition.

No chips or cracks.

Strong hinge.

Glass in the inner neck in good condition, no cracks.

No holes to the silver lid.

Dimensions:

Length: 9cm / 3.5 inches.

Lid diameter: 2.5cm / 1 inch.
