This well-proportioned 19th Century Mahogany Waterfall Bookcase dates from circa 1840.
It has a cupboard base, single drawer and graduated shelves to hold up to 4 rows of books - the bottom shelf being 15 inches (38 cm) in height.
It has a well-finished, polished mahogany back to the top section making it ideal for displaying ornaments as well as books.
The colour is good and the patina is warm.
