Description

Very impressive and unusual late 18th.c. giltwood mirror c.1790. 39" diameter frame with large carved and pierced scrolling acanthus detail. At the centre is a 16" dimeter mirror with a moulded surround. Original gilded finish, chipped and worn in places to reveal the timber below. Some retouching to the inner frame and minor marks to the mirror plate.
