Prince Solomon Dorothy has dated these Georgian Silver Wine Coasters to the Georgian era.
Their bases are made from turned light coloured wood with a metal button at the centre. And what I find so beautiful in this pair is the signs of both their age which I believe would be early 1800s with the copper core bleeding through the silver plate.

AGE - Circa 1810
CONDITION - As I have mentioned this pair of Wine Coasters carry signs of their age and use, but generally they are in good condition and are not misshaped. The Copper Core can be seen bleeding through the Silver Plate. On one of the the wooden bases there are some small flecks of white which could be paint or possibly old polish. Each of the buttons at the centre of the bases carry small gentle scratches, which I have to say I find quite lovely. The underside of each of the coasters are covered with green velvet like material which is worn. The joins of the Silver Plate at the sides can be seen, but this is not a flaw it is just part of the process of their manufacture.
