This charming late 18th-century George III period oak bureau showcases exquisite craftsmanship and timeless appeal. The fall front opens to reveal a well-organized interior, featuring pigeonholes and drawers, along with a concealed well for added functionality. Beneath the writing surface, the bureau is fitted with two small drawers and three long graduated drawers, all adorned with elegant brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The piece stands proudly on bracket feet, contributing to its classic design. Notable for its superb original colour and rich patina, this bureau is a wonderful example of English furniture from around 1790.
