For sale, this fine Chinese Transitional Wucai small jar, painted with yellow faced Buddhistic lions with iron red and green enamel against the underglaze blue and white body of the jar. Dating Mid-17th century. Excellent condition with only slight wear to the iron red and a little loss to the yellow, as showing in the pics. The base shows a burnt orange tinging through firing, please see pics. The upright rim unglazed and with a small professionally restored chip to the rim. Size 10.4cm tall and a diameter of 8cm at its widest part. An excellent small example of this type of transitional ware. Price £595.00 inclusive of shipping to within the UK
