It can be adjusted in height by spinning the seat around to move it up or down. At its lowest adjustable position it is 19" (48cm) and at its highest adjustable position it is approximately 22" (56cm).
It is a good quality piece and the bottom of one leg is stamped with a serial number "29763".
It is in good condition for its age. The upholstery has faded over time but it is generally clean and free from any rips or major wear. The revolving mechanism runs smoothly and the stool is very stable when extended. There are some small marks and minor knocks around the base but nothing detrimental and the wood has developed a lovely patina. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
