Charming Edwardian Silver and Amber Glass Scent Bottle by George Henry James, Birmingham 1903

Description

This unusual and charming silver and cut glass scent bottle is dated Birmingham 1903. The rich barrel-shaped amber coloured body sliced-cut in diamond and concentric patterns. The neck fitted with an embossed silver lid, the hinged lid opening to reveal a clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

G.H.J for George Henry James.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion PO

assant.

Date letter "d" for 1903.

Dimensions:

Height: 4.5cm / 1.6 inches.

Width: 4.5cm / 1.6 inches.

Depth: 2.5cm / 1 inch.

Condition:

Very good.

No dings or dents, no holes to the lid.
