An elegant George II mahogany silver table; the well figured dished top with re-entrant corners above a frieze crossgrain veneered in mahogany and raised on elegant cabriole legs which terminate in pad feet.
Circa: 1740
This silver table has three features that particularly appealed to me: the beautifully figured top with a touch of fiddleback grain to the mahogany, the bold triple moulding to the dished top and the elongated scrolls to the top of the leg which give it a slightly Baroque feel.
