Rare Austro-Hungarian antique solid sterling silver sugar tongs / nips. They are hallmarked with the Austrian-Hungary import mark used between 1891 to 1901 and possibly Hanau (German) marks, they test as high grade silver. They have been superbly designed being cast in the form of a harlequin. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They have a nice tight smooth action. They measure almost 4.5 inches (11.4cm) long by 2 inches (5.2cm) wide at the handles and weigh 54 grams. Superbly made very high quality rare examples.
