Giltwood Mirror C.1830

Description

Early 19th.c. French giltwood wall mirror c.1830. Original 26" x 36" mirror plate within giltwood frame with elaborate carved and moulded detail. Topped with a tall acanthus leaf spay at the centre of which is a female bust in profile wearing a Classical style laurel wreath. Obvious tarnish to the mirror (which could be replaced with new glass if preferred). Otherwise very good condition with only minor wear to the gilding.
