Fine Oak Corner Cupboard Cabinet Antique Georgian C1750

Description

Excellent George ll Oak Corner Cabinet - c1750 - Lower Drawer

This cabinet is in great order and benefits from a lower drawer.

A quality example with inlay to the door with marquetry revealing a stellar motif.

The fielded panel door hangs on an original pair of external brass butterfly show hinges. The door opens to reveal a pair of shelves and a clean oak-lined interior.

Below the main cabinet there is a single full width drawer. This lovely and unusual extra affords a secret in the form of a hidden 'valuables' drawer which is disguised as a drawer runner and is accessed by sliding the main drawer right out.

Both the top cabinet and the bottom drawer are complete with fully functioning lock and key.

Overall a really super example of a George II English Oak corner cabinet and a rare find.
