A large handsome Burr Walnut Commode of four drawers underneath a Gris St Anne Belgian marble top; original finish with superb colour and patina dating back to the Charles X era circa 1815-1830. The front is veneered in well chosen book matched burr walnut veneers. This lovely commode is raised on a plinth with shaped bracket feet and also retains its original intricate gilt bronze handles and escutcheons.

...ge. There is a slight age related split to one side, please refer to this in the photographs; this is a very common problem with all antique furniture due to modern living conditions such as central heating, open fires and/or under floor heating.
