Description

An important Charles I silver apostle topped spoon. Made in London in 1641 by Richard Crosse. I believe the apostle is St John. The back of the shank has hallmarks (date letter, lion passant and makers mark). The front has the leopard's head in the top of the bowl. The spoon is in excellent condition with no repairs. This 384 year old spoon is a real survivor and very collectable.

WEIGHT; 41.2 grams or 1.32 ozst approx.
