An excellent George III silver navette shaped tea caddy. Made in London in 1802 by Charles Aldridge who worked in a workshop on the Corner of Falcon Street and Aldersgate Street. This caddy has a full set of hallmarks under the base and an armorial on the back. It has a wooden finial and a hidden style hinge. There is a lock with no key. Generally the caddy is in excellent condition with no repairs. This is a very keenly priced Georgian tea caddy. A very collectable piece.
