Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in 18th-century England during the reign of King George III, a butlers tray table consists of a tray with a raised gallery resting on a folding X-frame stand, designed to transport and serve refreshments before being positioned as an occasional table.

These tables were constructed from dense mahogany, featuring brass flush hinges on gallery flaps, hand-cut handle openings, and mortise-and-tenon joinery on the collapsible stand.

Authentic George III pieces exhibit hand-cut construction details, original brass hardware with natural oxidisation, hand-planed timber surfaces on unexposed areas, and mahogany timber showing age-appropriate wear.

A mahogany butlers tray table functions as a drinks bar, a bedside surface, or an occasional side table placed alongside seating in traditional or eclectic modern spaces.

Maintain the finish by dusting with a soft dry cloth and applying a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, while avoiding direct sunlight, radiators, and chemical cleaners.
