Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
A lovely wardrobe with great proportions.
The wardrobe is made from solid Mahogany complete with fiddle back Mahogany veneer to the frontage. The wardrobe has a beautiful array of inlays to the frontage, including a very ornate swags & tails with foliage to a centre fan which is flanked either side by its bevelled original mirror glass doors with unusually no foxing to the glass. We love the wardrobes very elegant deep moulded top pediment, complete with chequered Rosewood & Boxwood detail in the centre. This wardrobe has great proportions and is unusually raised on legs to a square moulded block foot. The doors open to reveal its spacious interior with 4 brass triple revolving clothes hooks per side and the doors have all of their original brass hardware, including door stays and is complete with its working latching locks with its original keys. The base consists of 2 deep dovetail constructed drawers which work perfectly with its original polished brass handles and working locks with original key.

This fantastically elegant wardrobe is in an outstanding condition with its original beautiful mellowed French polished finish which really shows off the beautiful fiddle back grain.
This wardrobe easily breaks down into 5 pieces for transport, it is a drop on system without screws or fixings.

We have carefully cleaned, polished and waxed this item, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.
Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.

Please also note that the centre panel does have a strange quirk, there is a zig zag join in the veneer which spans the whole panel, this join is quite unusual but it is original to the piece, this join is well shown in the photographs.
