Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.

The solid 9ct gold case is 35mm in diameter excluding the original crown.
The case edges are sharp and crisp, the serrations on the original winding crown are razor sharp. The watch looks like it was kept hidden away in a drawer and almost never worn

The movement is a calibre 280 which is quite rare and very high quality, this was one of Longines highest grade movements of this period. It has been freshly serviced and is currently running at plus 10 seconds per day , not bad for a 60 year old watch. The serial number dates this watch to 1965.

The solid 9ct gold case is fully hallmarked with a Birmingham Assay office date letter for 1965.
The beautiful starburst dial is totally original and perfect it has had no restoration whatsoever.
The hands are matching gold and all original.

Its the most original and perfect unrestored example you will ever see.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
Remarkably it comes with its original tan lizard Longines strap with its original buckle. Judging by the condition of the strap this watch has only been worn a few times in its life. Its just a pity that the original box has been lost.
