Edwardian Chinoiserie Black Lacquer & Gilt Nest of Three Tables

A very good quality set of Edwardian black lacquer rectangular shaped graduating antique nest of tables with beautiful gilt chinoiserie design throughout. All three tables have hand painted gilt landscape scenes in relief which include pagodas, trees and people in traditional dress which are surrounded with a gilt border and a double cockbeaded moulded edge.

The largest table has floral motifs to either side of the frieze, and the tables stand on tapering turned legs with double ring turned detail which terminate to a shaped stretcher and out swept feet.

The tables are in overall very good condition consistent with their age.
