N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the Regency era.
This beautiful single fusee mantel clock has a bronze cast with gilt bronze aspects.
This is then flanked by two beautifully cast bronze spaniels on their hind legs. The piece then has a further bronze stand with a gilt bronze panel to the front featuring a lions head. There is then a further bronze base with another gilt bronze panel featuring a scrolling design, a bearded mans head and two cherubs / putti. Finally the clock is finished by four gilt bronze, lions paw feet.

The dial is then enamel and set out in black roman numerals with a thin ring of dashes to the outside marking the minutes. The dial is then finished by two lovely shaped hands as well as a gilt bronze surround.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is a chain fusee example of the upmost quality and is in full working order. The clock is also complete with its regulating pendulum with bell shaped bob and winding key.
It measures approximately:
10.75” / 27.25cm Tall.
14” / 35.5cm Wide.
3.75” / 9.5cm Deep.
