A stunning 18th-century George III period mahogany secretaire bookcase. This well-proportioned mahogany bookcase features a glazed 2-door cabinet over a base with 14 oak-lined drawers. The base includes a fitted fall-front secretaire writing drawer, raised on original ogee bracket feet. The secretaire writing drawer is well-fitted with multiple interior drawers and compartments. The glazed bookcase top is fitted with two compartments, each containing three adjustable bookshelves. This superb piece of furniture dates from around 1780.
