Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Produced between 1813 and 1840, Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester porcelain is distinguished by high-quality bone china, rich cobalt blue ground glazes, intricate gilding, and finely executed enamel reserves featuring botanical, topographical, or allegorical scenes.

These vessels were formed from soft-paste porcelain or bone china, cast or hand-thrown, and decorated with overglaze enamel paint. Elaborate gilding was applied using ground gold leaf mixed with flux, fired at low temperatures, and burnished with agate stone.

Authentic examples often feature an impressed mark reading FBB topped with a crown on the underside, or a printed iron-red crest. Examination of the gilding density, smooth lead glaze finish, and detailed hand painting helps verify age and origin.

Position the piece on a mantelpiece, marble console, or within an illuminated glass-fronted cabinet to complement modern minimalist decor. Isolating the vessel alongside neutral-toned objects highlights its vibrant colour and geometric form.

Dust the item using a dry, soft camel-hair brush to remove surface debris without abrading the glaze. Avoid liquid detergents, immersion in water, or harsh chemicals, as moisture can enter hairline fissures and degrade overglaze enamels.
