Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) Cloisonne box. In painterly style the fine silver wire yusen decoration depicts a flowering plum tree, chrysanthemums and a small finch in flight, all on a musen wireless background. The box, useful for trinkets, has a woven lining with cranes.
Condition: The box is in very good condition. The copper rims show wear to the sliver plating but it is commensurate with age and does not detract from it''s display properties.
