Professionally serviced and in mint condition.
This is a very fine example of a gents watch made by the premier swiss maker Longines.

The 17 jewel gold plated movement is an absolute gem and is regarded as the finest movements ever made by Longines during the golden age of Swiss watch making.
The two tone champagne coloured dial is completely original and in mint condition as are the hands which have luminous dot markers. The dial measures 31mm in diameter not including the the crown.

This is a rare and desireable watch which is very sought after by collectors.
The watch comes with a brand new presentation box to keep it in perfect condition.
As you would expect from Longines the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case. It is marked with calibre 12.68Z and serial number 9466384 which dates this to around 1954.

There are NO inscriptions either inside the case or on the back.
It has a premium grade chestnut brown strap but can be fitted with a black or extra long strap if you prefer.
The watch has just been fully serviced by the respected Vintage watch specialist Alan Williams FBHI and is guaranteed to be a genuine Girard Perregaux in all respects. This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then throughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed, in the case of waterproof watches a full waterproof presure test is carried out to manufacturers specification.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
We only use natural daylight when taking photographs, we never digitally remaster or use tinted lenses to enhance them so you can be assured the watch you see here is what you will receive and therefore will not be disappointed.
Longines are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated but elegant look.
The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
