Gents 1960s over-sized Atlantic Worldmaster Super De Luxe wrist watch.

Atlantic watches were very popular behind the Iron Curtain. At first they were smuggled into the Eastern bloc from Sweden but then the brand became one of only a few Swiss watch companies to strike an import deal with the Communist authorities.

The watch has a good quality Swiss 21-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Atlantic Super.

The watch is an excellent size at 37mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is chromium plated, there is some light marking but overall the condition is good. The screw-on case back is signed Atlantic Worldmaster... it also states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition (some white reflection showing in the photos).

The signed dial is in its original finish with cross hair detail, centre seconds and outer minute markers. There is light marking to the dial but nothing too serious at all.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
