Description

This super little six drawer cabinet hailed from messrs j.t.crockett of cavendish square, london.

J.t.crockett produced several cabinets in highly figured pitch pine which was very fashionable in the late 19th century amongst cabinet makers. This timber is both decorative and very stable and is good to work with. It carries a highly figured finish which is still very attractive today.

This cabinet was constructed to preserve and display a collection of butterflies but can now be suitable for many other collecting pursuits. Ideal for jewellery, watches, medals, small fossils, minerals, silver items etc,etc.

Each drawer carries the original closely fitting glazed frame top and ebonised knobs.

We are happy to line the drawers in accordance with the buyers request.
