Description

A Victorian pair of solid brass coat and hat hooks mounted on a shield shape oak mount c1880. The pair of hooks are cast in good quality sturdy brass, and affixed to a central brass joint, which is screwed to the oak back. The lower part of the hook was designed for coats and the upper part for hats. The hooks have a pleasing curving shape with minor scrolls. Good quality and in excellent condition.

Dimensions given are for the maximum - eg, top of hook to back 14cm, top of hook to pointed base 26cm, distance between tops of hooks 26cm.

The oak back measures 22cm high x 17cm wide at maximum points.
