A rare and interesting art pottery vase by the Irish company J R Mally & Co. (J R M & Co.) was sold through their London shop, which retailed art pottery designs, including designs by Christopher Dresser. This has fabulous secessionist influences and very possibly a Dresser designThis is a stylish piece with a waisted body and raised floral detailing with a contrasting yellow and rich deep green glaze. The vase is marked to the base: J R M & Co.; there is also an incised number: 4.
