Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Secessionist art pottery emerged around 1900 as part of the broader movement away from traditional historicism, characterised by simplified geometric forms, linear ornament, and stylised organic motifs influenced by modern European art movements.

These pieces were typically formed from earthenware clay using slip-casting or wheel-throwing methods, then decorated with techniques like tube-lining or slip-trailing to create raised outlines before applying coloured lead glazes.

Authentic period pottery usually features impressed or painted factory marks, model numbers, or designer monograms on the unglazed underside, accompanied by natural age-related crazing in the glaze.

Secessionist pottery functions well as a focal decorative object on sideboards, mantelpieces, or open shelving, creating contrast within contemporary minimalist interiors or accentuating traditional period rooms.

Clean antique earthenware gently using warm water and mild soap applied with a soft cloth, avoiding prolonged soaking or abrasive chemicals that could compromise historical glazes.
