Gents Art Deco wrist watch, 1930s.

The watch has a Swiss Schild calibre 984 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 25.5mm wide excluding the later Cartier style winding crown with cabochon, and 31mm high excluding the lugs. The case is rolled gold and was made by Esbro, a brand name registered by Benjamin Schlesinger SA in 1927. The case is in good condition, just very small areas of rubbing, nothing serious at all.

The lens has light marking but is very acceptable.

The dial is in lovely condition, with the stylised Art Deco numbers being a handsome feature. Original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes on a later strap, and it all comes in a new presentation box.
