A Chinese Carved Giltwood Wall Panel, Circa 1900

This superb richly gilded wooden wall hanging panel is Chinese and from the Canton region, an area renowned for its fine wood carving skills.

This piece was produced in the late 19th century. It is a fine example, deeply carved from a single piece of solid timber. It is decorated with numerous warriors some are on foot and others are on horseback amongst trees and a temple.

This fine hand carved panel dates to circa 1900. It has superb fine detailing and a rich patinated gilt finish. It is in excellent condition.

On the reverse, there is a brass wire for hanging.
