This decorative chased & pierced brass letter rack is of the finest quality. It has a removeable petition to the centre. Measuring 27 cm L x 11 D x 19 cm H.
It was made sometime between 1850 & 1890 in the reign of Queen Victoria.
The William T Tonks Brass foundry was started in 1879 in Mosley Street Birmingham. They exhibited at the London exhibtions of 1851 and 1860. and the paris exhibition in 1855 they were known for their quality workmanship.
