A late 19thC set of four French brass door plates c1880. This set of door plates was made for a pair of double doors. The door plates are made of fine quality brass. They are exceptionally elegant with a central lattice panel surrounded by several linear and decorative bands including one with a garland of foliage. Each plate is topped with arched surmount containing an exotic palm leaf design and tiny rosettes. The brass polishes up well to a pleasing glint. There is no damage and the plates are in excellent condition.
