A very rare 19th Century well figured flame mahogany leather top drum centre table of grand proportions. This exceptional piece is finely hand carved with stunningly rich patination and grain. The moulded top of circular form is fitted with a striking brown leather writing skiver surface raised over a classically simple frieze with eight drawers fitted with decorative finely cast brass ring pulls with foliate detail. escutcheon and key. Supported on finely turned hexagonal baluster pod above trefoil base with elegant outswept, panelled leg with scrolls, trailing bell husks, gadroon and radiating fan motifs, terminating on lion paw foot with casters, finely carved in high relief.
