A very fine 19th Century Sienna marble three piece clock garniture set in the Neoclassical manner, of fabulous quality, fully serviced and brass mounted throughout. The garniture clock with white enamel dial of circular form with black numerals is housed in a brass mounted glass case, flanked with four fluted Corinthian pillars with brass foliate motif detail. Surmounted with shaped and moulded pediment supporting a fabulous animalier sculpture of a Medici lion, depicted standing with a sphere or ball under one paw, gazing to the side, supported on moulded and stepped base with further brass decorative motif detail to the apron. The clock is flanked by a fabulous pair of Sienna marble and brass mounted garniture cassolette vases with stunning decorative motifs comprising of foliate finials and scroll handles with foliate and flowerhead detail, supported on shaped and moulded marble base. Engraved to the reverse ‘Latour, 30 Rue Sedain, Paris’.
