The rear with a concealed sliding panel enclosing four baise-lined compartments containing a number of original square glass bottles and a collection of miscellaneous medicine bottles of various dates and origins. The exterior faded to a mellow golden colour and with a brass swan’s-neck carrying handle and inset brass escutcheons. Circa 1815
