Art Deco 1.53 Carat Ceylon Sapphire & Rose Cut Diamond Ring, Circa 1930

Description

A beautiful vintage sapphire ring. The sapphire in the centre - certified as Sri Lankan (Ceylon) - is a glowingly and vivid royal blue. The sapphire is surrounded by twelve rose cut diamonds in a platinum coronet cluster setting. The cluster sits within a slim, 18k rose gold shank with a further rose cut set in each shoulder.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire originates from Ceylon (Sri Lanka).

Also accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR.

Cut:? Oval cut sapphire and rose cut diamonds.

Colour:? The diamonds are J to K.

Clarity:? The diamonds are SI1; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat:? The sapphire is approximately 1.53 carat, with approximately 0.30 carat of diamonds.

Circa:? 1930.

Size:? L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:? The sapphire is approximately 7.4 x 5.8mm. The head of the ring is 14.3 x 10.9mm. Sits 6.0mm from the finger.

Weight:? 3.83 grams.

Metal:? 18k rose gold. The diamonds are set in platinum. Tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer.
