HMS Lively was a B-Class torpedo boat, a four funneled, 30 knot destroyer of the British Royal Navy.
She was built by Laird, Son & Company, Birkenhead, and was bought by the Navy in 1901.
Commissioned May 1902, retired Jan 1918.
Lively served as an Escort to The Royal Yacht Victoria and Albert, was part of the 7th Destroyer Flotilla on the eve of the First World War July 1914.
Deployed to the east coast of Britain to prevent mine laying or torpedo attacks in approaches to ports and prevent raids by enemy ships
