An early 18th C. Oak Refectory Table. The three plank top has historic graffiti, including initials, names and dates in different styles of writing (see video) and has obviously had a very interesting history.
Reputed to have come from Salesbury Hall, near Ribchester.
It is in a good, sturdy order and has wonderful patina and wear.
In complete original condition with signs of wear and bears scars as would be expected from age and use, it also has had an historic repair to one leg where it meets the stretcher.
