Attractive Oak with Mahogany Banding Small Longcase Clock
Height: 84in (7ft) or 213cm
The Painted Dial (under investigation) is for Dan Oliver of Wellington. In Brian Loomes Clockmakers Book, one is listed as Late 18th Century, though he wasn’t sure which Wellington. I would muse that, as it came our way from Devon not far from The Wellington in Somerset, that that is the town it came from.
The 8 Day Hour Striking Clock with Seconds has been Checked, Service and Tested to be in Good Working Order, keeping Very Good Time.
The Case is Good & Sound with Attractive Graining and Mahogany Banding. It is currently of the rest against the wall style, though back legs could be added.
