A Fabulous Pair of Victorian Cut Glass Lidded Butter Dishes with Saucers

A fabulous pair of cut glass butter dishes from the start of the Victorian period. These gorgeous examples are of rounded form, with stunning cutting to the bodies and lids and saucers. The bases are cut with a multi-point star and there is extensive and matching cut decoration to all parts, including the castellated rims. The lids are removed via a matching cut steeple knop. These outstanding pieces are good collector's items and rather difficult to find, particularly as they are a pair and have all three component parts intact. A magnificent example of Victorian cut table glass, both practical and decorative. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good, with no cracks or large chips. Some of the extremities have nibbles, commensurate with age and use.
