Grand Large Pair of Neo-gothic Candlesticks in the Manner of Hart, Son, Peard & Co

Description

Dating to around 1860, Victorian in era, a fabulous and showy pair of large Gothic style candlesticks cast in solid brass with extremely heavy weighted bases, solid and grand.

The tops of the circular drip pans are pierced, the columns with a twisted design and engraved decoration around the centre; they stand on very regal Lion's paw feet.

Undoubtedly made by the renowned London metal worker, Hart, Son, Peard & Co

Excellent condition and certainly the best pair I have had the please of finding, professionally re-polished and standing 17" tall with a drip pan diameter of 7, and an aperture for the candles of 1 3/8".
